Who We Are

Plant the Vine is a community-based 501 © (3) created to plant and maintain an Interpretive Grape Garden in the Los Angeles State Historic Park. The Interpretive Grape Garden will feature three local, historically significant grapes – the native Desert Wild grape, the Spanish winemaking grape, called Mission, and the spontaneous hybrid of the two. The  juxtaposition of these three grapes, in a setting that invites contemplation and healing, will provide new perspectives from which visitors can interpret local history, imagining what life was like for the Tongva, as well as for those who followed.
